melancholic’s 100th post

during psychology lessons, I learnt that,

I am not unusual, probably rather rarely unusual.

these is all about the world of melancholics, their mindset, their thoughts and their ideals.

do you know?

there are actually 2 types of people in the world, there is a group of introvert, and the other extrovert.

under introvert, there is melancholic and phlegmatic and under extrovert, there is choleric and sanguine.

sounds strange,

strange not,

it defines you and your personality.

through the classes, I realize that I was a melancholic.

and people who are melancholic have heavy swings in moods,

for example, you can feel so happy suddenly and depressed suddenly such that melancholic people are the majority and that these group of people unfortunately tend to fall into depression. However, these bunch of us are self sacrificing, like we will feel gulity even if we don’t give up a seat for the elderly and usually, we will choose not to take the priority seat.

an example the lecturer quoted was that if you see a little girl drolling at you while you are holding a ice-cream cone, melacholic people who give up their cones usually no matter how hungry they are, cause they tend to be really sensitive and emotional.

here are some characteristics of a melancholic

good points: dependable, sensitive, analytical, perfectionist, self-sacrificing, gifted, loyal and faithful

weaknesses: introvert, unsociable, rigid, moody, suspicious

and Mr Lee Kuan Yew is said to be fore-front, he is a choleric, people who are choleric aren’t that emotional and tend to want to get things done right straight away regardless of how the opposite person may be feeling.

it is said that choleric people are the best to be great big, huge leaders and bosses.

sanguine people are people who tend to be hyperactive all the time, cheering people up, always being loud, more open and sociable.

phlegmatic people are the bunch of people who very much agree on anything, they tend to also keep things to their own.

melancholic and phlegmatic belong to the same category and sanguine and choleric belong to the same category.

however, sanguines are the direct opposites of melancholic and phlegmatics are the total opposite from cholerics.

also, it is known that melancholic and phlegmatic people tend to be really emotional and they use their HEARTS to think while the choleric and sanguine people tend to be more rational and use their MINDS.

does this sound in anyway just like you?

don’t be amazed or awed cause you may probably too belong to the bunch of us, the melancholics who have really difference in mood swings and are always that unpredictable. :)

the mood swings that melancholics have is like a merry-go round, a carousel that spins and spins, and jackpot or not, it is always unpredictable.

so next time, if you feel that you feel like you own the whole wide world in a minute and the next minute felt that you have loose grip to the whole world, don’t feel weird cause you may just be a melancholic. :)

good times tend to come to an end so soon, it wasn’t and was not and was never meant to last right?

I hope that we stay just the way we used to during the student council days back in school.

and Happy birthday Peiyi! :)

thats all for now, it’s time for me to get back to my formal reports.

come back soon! :)
